My trip to Ireland, strategically planned to coincide with a couple shows by Josh Ritter and his band, was such a great experience that I wanted to share it with friends and fans. This section - and the pictures and stories within - is not only my way of preserving some great memories, but my way of thanking the many people who made it happen.
Please take note that what I present over these pages comes from not only the American tourist in me (I'd never been overseas), but the huge Josh Ritter fan in me. So while this may be an entertaining glimpse for fans of the band at work and at play, it is primarily my very personal account of the trip - from friends I made, to attending the concerts, to just experiencing the wonderful country of Ireland, as brief as my visit was.
Thank you to all my fellow American fans who sent me off with kind wishes, the Irish fans of my site who helped me plan the trip and got me psyched to go, and to all the people who approached me during my visit to chat, buy me a pint, and welcome me to Ireland. |
